Snow began to fall the morning of October 14, 2018 in Sioux City Iowa, and because things were beginning to look a lot like Christmas, the 185th Air Refueling Wing moved indoors to host its 2nd annual Military Family Trunk or Treat event. The Program included costumes, candy, games, bouncy castles and even a best decorated trunk contest.

Gary Schmidt, a 185th Airman Family Readiness program manager, said that the event is a joint event with members of the Iowa National Guard 113th Cavalry Regiment and local organizations in support of the Iowa military community.

“It’s really about putting the families together because this place is so big,” said Schmidt.

Schmidt also emphasized that the event was important to building community with military members and their families.

Schmidt estimated that about 500 people were in attendance.
