The 185th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs provides the public, media and other stakeholders with clear and accurate information about the unit's programs and activities. The office is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the wing's media relations, community engagement, internal information and legislative affairs programs, which increase understanding about the Iowa National Guard’s role in its state and federal mission.

Media Relations

Members of the media can call or e-mail the PA office via the “contact us” page on this website.

If you wish to be added to our media contact list in order to receive announcements, advisories or press releases please call or e-mail with your contact information.

The 185th Public Affairs Office assists with media quires and interview requests. The PA office can also provide open source news, still photos, and stock video footage.

Hometown News

Unit members at home station or deployed are encouraged to submit a hometown news form for promotions or significant awards. After opening the form, select “Sioux City ANG base” from the dropdown to begin.

 

DVIDS

The Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System is the central accessioning site for all of the Department of Defense media activities. Anyone can use these open source (free) stories, photos and video posted on DVIDS for publication or rebroadcast. Use the link to go directly to the 185th on DVIDS.
