Colonel Todd D. Miller

Col. Todd D. Miller is the Operations Group Commander at the 185th Air Refueling Wing, Iowa Air National Guard, Sioux City, Iowa. In this role, he is responsible for the operation of KC-135R Statotankers and their aircrew members, as well as Airfield Management, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Military Intelligence, and Administrative Support areas of the Operations Group.
 
Col. Miller began his career in 1998 enlisting in the Iowa Air National Guard after being selected to become a F-16 pilot for the Wing. He gained his commission the same year after attending the Academy of Military Science. Col. Miller graduated from Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training in 2001 and F-16 FTU in Phoenix, Arizona in 2002. He has held the following positions flying the F-16: Chief of Training and Scheduling, Chief of Wing Plans and DTOC Assistant Director of Operations. He has also served at the ANGRC Andrews AFB in A8 as the SPS Liaison. Following the mission conversion to the MQ-9 Reaper, Col. Miller was the first 124th Attack Squadron Director of Operations and then served as the 124th Attack Squadron Commander. Starting in January of 2021 he was selected to serve as the operations Group Council Chair for the Guard RPA enterprise. He served as the Operations Group Commander and the Vice Commander for the 132d Wing. Prior to his current position, Col. Miller was the Strategic Director, A5/8 at the Iowa National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Johnston, Iowa.
 
Col. Miller is a Command Pilot with over 2,300 hours in the F16 C/D, F-16 C+, RC-26 and MQ-9 and has flown over 500 combat hours in support of Operation NORTHERN WATCH, Operation IRAQI FREEDON, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, and Operation COPPER DUNE.
