185th Air Refueling Wing

Sioux Gateway Regional Airport is Home for the Iowa Air National Guard's 185th Air Refueling Wing. The wings main mission is to provide mid-air refueling and mobility sustainment in direct support of the global mission of the U.S. Air Force. As a community based organization the Wing and its subordinate units are also tasked to support the state of Iowa in the event of a state emergency. 185th Air Refueling Wing

185th Operations Group

The "Ops Group" mission is to provide in-flight refueling, cargo airlift, and passenger movement all around the globe. Operations also provides administrative, intelligence, crew life support, combat communications & airfield management functions in support of the unit's flying mission.
