Despite the threat of thunder storms, the weather cooperated with members of the 185th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) as they enjoyed their annual 185th Family Fun Day.

Hundreds of Airmen and their spouses, children, parents, and significant others gathered at Bluff's Area Family Center in Sergeant Bluff for free food, fun, and swimming to celebrate another successful year at the 185th ARW.

Volunteers from the 185th served hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, chips and beans as well as ice cream, while Airmen and their family members enjoyed several activities including a mini Ferris wheel and train, a bouncy house and obstacle course, horseshoes, and volleyball. Many family members also went swimming in the Bluff's Area Family Center Pool.

The fun day also featured a "Wheels" show, where a few members got a chance to show off their classic cars and trucks.

Col. Brian Miller, commander of the 185th ARW, said the event was a success. "Thanks to all who attended today. Our family members play a vital role in the many successes the 185th has achieved."

Miller also offered thanks to the unit members responsible for organizing the event. "I want to give a special thanks to everybody who made this event happen so the rest of us could enjoy the day."
