185th Airmen of the Year Winners

The 185th Air Refueling Wing, Iowa Air National Guard has honored Master Sgt Ronald Bennett, First Sgt Kati Bak, Technical Sgt Jeffrey Moffitt, Technical Sgt Noelle Jacobs, Technical Sgt Jamie Bethune, and Senior Amn Melissa Knight as Airmen of the Year for 2008.
Bennett received this honor among the unit's Senior Noncommissioned Officer's (SNCO) category, Bak among the First Sergeant's category, Moffitt among the Honor Guard Member's category, Jacobs among the Honor Guard Manager's category, Bethune among the Noncommissioned Officer's category, and Knight among the Airman's category.
Bak, Bethune, Moffitt and Knight have also been honored as Airmen of the year in their categories at the State level. Their names will now be forwarded to the National Guard Bureau in Washington, D.C. where each will compete for the title of Air National Guard Airmen of the Year.
All recipients were honored as the Airmen of the Year for their outstanding job performance, leadership qualities and exceptional dedication to the Air National Guard.
Bennett resides in Sioux City, IA and serves as the Maintenance Programs and Resources Manager assigned to the 185th Maintenance Operations Flight. Bak resides in Hinton, IA and serves as the First Sergeant to the 185th Medical Squadron. Moffitt resides in Pierson, IA and serves as a Knowledge Operations Manager assigned to the 185th Mission Support Group. Jacobs resides in Elk Point, SD and serves as the Honor Guard Noncommissioned Officer with the 185th Services Flight. Bethune resides in Onawa, IA, and serves as an Aerospace Maintenance Craftsman with the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Knight resides in Sioux City, IA and serves as an Intelligence Applications Specialist with the 185th Operations Support Flight.
