Coffee? 185th ARW Host Retiree Coffee Published June 3, 2008 By Master Sgt. Vincent De Groot 185th PA 185ARW 03/20/08 -- Nearly 100 former members of the 185th Air Refueling Wing attended a retiree coffee at the Air National Guard unit in Sioux City, Iowa. The event was open to all retired members of the 185th. Wing leadership plans to continue the coffee on the third Thursday of each month. Wing Commander Col. Brian Miller briefed those in attendance on current events at the 185th. Col Mark Foreman, Vice Commander of the 185th introduced attendees to the Wing's new website and Lt Col Kevin Fouts gave a short presentation on traveling space available or "Space A" flights in and out of Sioux City. Mrs. Judith Ring from Offutt Air Force Base Commissary was on hand to give a short presentation and answer questions about money saving commissary privileges extended to all members of the military and retired military. Mrs. Ring also announced that she will be returning to Sioux City on June 7 and 8. The commissary plans to make perishable and non perishable items available for purchase on that weekend. There was plenty of good conversation, coffee and doughnuts to go around. Many of those in attendance said they are already looking forward to getting together again next month.
