Master Sgt. Zediker Awarded FM NCOIC of the Year

Master Sgt., Bartholomew Zediker of the 185th Air Refueling Wing, Sioux City, Iowa Air National Guard, was recently awarded as the financial management senior non-commissioned officer of the year for the entire Air National Guard.

He was recognized for leading the finance team through a successful Operational Readiness Inspection, achieving excellent results and was recognized by Air Mobility Command's inspectors with a Team Award. "Master Sgt. Zediker brought energy and knowledge to the Finance ORI exercise." said Maj. Shawn Streck, Comptroller at the 185th. "Bart was singled out and recognized by the inspectors for being a strong leader of a very effective finance team."

Zediker is recognized with numerous other achievements including his strong leadership skills and a volunteer expert as a contingency instructor for the Air National Guard. His team processed over 29,000 pay transactions and 3,400 travel vouchers over the past year and the 185th Financial Management Office received an overall ranking of number one at the end of Fiscal Year 2007.

Zediker, from Sioux City, Iowa, is pursing his master's degree in Human Resource Management through Briar Cliff University. He is an assistant coach for the East High Football program, and a volunteer coach for the Siouxland Y sports program.

"We are extremely proud of his accomplishments and look forward to his many achievements." said Streck.
