A recruiter assigned to the 185th Air Refueling Wing, witnessed the enlistment ceremony of his 100th recruit on April 3, 2016. Staff Sgt. Wesley Rueter recruited Tech. Sgt. Eric Olson to mark the occasion.

Col. Scott Plambeck, the Vice Commander of the 185th Air Refueling Wing, read the oath of enlistment to Olson. Olson is now assigned to the Civil Engineer Squadron at the 185th ARW.

Rueter has been a recruiter since June, 2012 and has been awarded the Gold badge for being selected as the rookie recruiter of the year for the region.

"The best part about this job is seeing all the men and women I enlisted grow into airmen. I enjoy seeing how they have grown in the Guard, in their personal lives and progress in their future and become full time members in the 185th," said Rueter.

Before Rueter became a recruiter for the 185th ARW, he was assigned to the aircraft electrical and environmental systems shop. He has been serving in the Iowa Air National Guard for eight years.
