185 ARW helps reinforce a levee north of Burlington, Iowa

Members of the 185th Air Refueling Wing (ARW), Sioux City, Iowa, add plastic to a levee north of Burlington, Iowa, as the water continues to rise, mere inches behind them. The levee had to be raised and reinforced in response to record flood levels effecting most of eastern Iowa. The plastic sheeting is put in place and sandbagged to keep the flood waters from eroding the extra three feet of sand and dirt that was added in response to the high water levels.
