US 30 Closed Due To Flooding in Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA ? June 13, 2008, traffic comes to a complete standstill on Highway 380 North Bound due to flooding in Cedar Rapids, which has crested to approximately 31 feet. The highway plans on closing some portions at approximately 6 p.m. The Iowa Air National Guard was mobilized by the state to provide assistance for the flooding in Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Des Moines, Iowa. The Air Guard and Army Guard joined forces to help in law enforcement duties, sand bagging flooded areas and providing general assistance to the public. Official Air Force Photo by: SSG Oscar M.
