First Film Processing

Shortly after converting to the RF-84 Thunderflash aircraft, airman from the 174th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron photo lab, process some of the first film taken from the aircraft. The unit had not yet received the photo processing equipment necessary for properly processing the film. In this photo the negatives were hung over chairs in a classroom to allow the film to dry. The large size of the negatives allowed for very high resolution photos when prints were made. Iowa Air Guard Photo
