Sioux City Sioux

This newly refurbished RF-84 Thunderflash dubbed “Sioux City Sue” is on the ramp in Sioux City, Iowa. It was painted to depict the paint scheme from the late 1950’s when the 174th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard flew the photo reconnaissance mission with the RF-84. The moniker “Sioux City Sue” was adopted from the 1945 song of the same name. The aircraft is now ready to be put back on static display in Sioux City, Iowa.
