Nebraska ANG F86D 1962

A Nebraska Air National Guard F86D Sabre jet aircraft from the 155th Fighter Group points toward a string of Iowa Air National Guard F-100 Super Sabres from the 185th Tactical Fighter Group on the ramp in Lincoln, Neb. June 25, 1962. The Iowa F-100s are operating from Lincoln while runway construction is underway in Sioux City. Determining distribution of aircraft in the 1960s had ANG units jostling for missions and manning as newer aircraft were being assigned to active duty Air Force units. 185th TFG photo
