  • Team Iowa Guard tackles Relay Iowa, the world’s longest relay

    The Iowa National Guard is one of 40 teams from around the nation participating in Relay Iowa, this weekend. The world’s longest non-stop relay is a 336 mile running event that begins on the banks of the Missouri River in Sioux City on Iowa’s western border and ends in Dubuque on the Mississippi River. Even though the event is celebrating its tenth year this is the first time the Iowa Army and Air Guard team is participating.

Care packages were packed by the Le Mars, Iowa High School Student Council and employees of the Premiere Bank Card Agency located in Dakota Dunes, S.D. Money for shipping was donated by Northwest Area Education Agency in Sioux City, Iowa.
