In keeping with their mission “We go where you go”, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) came to the Iowa Air National Guard base in Sioux City, Iowa over the weekend. AAFES came with a truckload of items to sell to Airmen who attended their unit training assembly over the weekend.

The Air Guard in Sioux City does not have a Base Exchange, so having the Exchange come to them, even for a day, is a unique experience for the Airman stationed here.

Mr. Daniel Wise is the General Manager of the nearest Exchange to Sioux City, located at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. Wise said that bringing the truckload sale here was a first for the Offutt Exchange.

Wise said that items for sale at the Exchange are top quality, and he said they are priced very competitively. He went on to say that all the items are available to service members and their spouse’s without a surcharge and tax free.
