Maintainers from the Iowa Air Guard removed, repaired and replaced a tail fin on a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker this week at the 185th maintenance facility in Sioux City. This type of project is so rarely done at a local level, that the people Repair and Reclamation shop in Sioux City refer to “tipping the tail” as a “once in a career thing.”
