B-roll video shows members of the 185th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City, Iowa removing a Vietnam War era F-100 Super Sabre from a pedestal mount in order to have the aircraft cleaned and painted. <br /><br />Removing the aircraft allowed members of the unit&#39;s Crash Damage Deposit Recovery or CDDR (see-dar) team to get involved. The CDDR team used module lifting bags that are part of the aircraft crash equipment kit to gently rest the aircraft on the ground.<br /><br />Lowering the 60 year old aircraft on the large pneumatic bags made the job of putting it on the ground safer for the aircraft and safer for the Airmen who were working to recover F-100.
