  • 185th Announces June 10th Open House

    Lieutenant Col. Eric Kilburg 185th Air Refueling Wing A-Flight Commander, announced that the Iowa Air Guard unit will host an Open House at the base on June 10, 2017. The event will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 10th.

  • Fennell becomes newest Air Guard Command Chief

    Sioux City resident, Chief Master Sergeant Tom Fennell assumed responsibility as the newest Command Chief of the Iowa National Guard’s 185th Air Refueling Wing at a ceremony held over the May training weekend at the Air Guard base in Sioux City, Iowa.

  • Adjutant General Tours Fort Dodge National Guard Units

    On March 30, Maj. Gen. Tim Orr, The Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, travelled to Fort Dodge, Iowa to visit two of his units, the Iowa Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 194th Field Artillery and the Iowa Air National Guard’s 133rd Test Squadron.

  • No April fools in 1951

    April 1, 1951 pilots and crew chiefs assigned to the Iowa Air National Guard’s 174th Fighter Squadron in Sioux City, Iowa, were recalled to active duty because of the Korean War.
